Privacy Policy

Money Is Just A Game Dashboard ("we") is a personal-finance intelligence dashboard. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to delete it. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for sign-in).
- Your profile ("Boss Profile"): the answers you give in onboarding — profession/industry, job and education level, asset classes you hold, location, financial concerns and goals, and any free-text you provide.
- Your investment profile: ticker symbols you add to your watchlist, and the panels you keep on your dashboard.
- Analyst conversations & alerts: messages you send the House Analyst and the alert rules you create.
- Usage telemetry: aggregate, non-identifying counts (e.g. number of AI requests) to keep the service sustainable.
We do not ask for or store bank credentials, account numbers, card numbers, or government IDs. We do not connect to your financial accounts.
How we use it
To personalize what you see — your profile and holdings tailor your dashboard, brief, and analyst answers. Doing this requires storing your profile in our database and sending the relevant text to our AI providers (see AI providers below).
Who, on our side, can see your profile. Your "Boss Profile" (profession, holdings, goals, location, concerns) is private between users — row-level security means no other user can read it. It is not hidden from us: our team can access it to operate and support the service. If you gave the optional consent during onboarding, we may also use it to improve the product and run analytics. If you declined, we will not use your profile for product analytics beyond operating and supporting your own experience. We never sell your data.
Linked financial data (a future phase). Connecting real accounts is not available yet; if we add it, we will ask for separate, explicit consent before enabling it. Even then, individual balances and transactions are never browsable by us — they are analyzed only in aggregate, de-identified form across cohorts of at least five users, with re-identification guards, stored encrypted and isolated. No output ever names an individual or their exact holdings.
Who it's shared with
- Our database (Supabase): your data is stored with row-level security so only your account can read it.
- AI providers (Anthropic, Groq): when you use the brief or analyst, the relevant text is sent to generate a response — see the table below.
- Market-data providers: public market/news data is fetched server-side; your identity is never sent to them.
AI providers
The brief and House Analyst are generated by large language models run by third parties. Here is what each receives, whether it trains on it, and how long they keep it. Your email and account ID are never sent — only the text below.
| Provider | What we send | Used to train their models? | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) — primary | Your analyst question (or a short profile summary for the brief) plus the live market snapshot used to ground the answer. | No — not used to train their models under their commercial API terms. | Retained per Anthropic's API data-retention policy, then deleted. |
| Groq (Llama) — failover | The same text, used only when the primary provider is unavailable. | No — not used to train models under their API terms. | Retained per Groq's API data-retention policy, then deleted. |
Provider terms can change; we keep this table current with our actual configuration. Retention windows are governed by each provider's own API data-retention terms (linked above).
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — it removes your profile, goals, journal entries and behavior log, XP and badges, analyst conversations, alerts, and sign-in credentials.
Cookies
We use the following first-party cookies:
- Auth session cookie — set by Supabase when you sign in. Keeps you logged in across page loads. Deleted when you sign out or your session expires.
- mfo-attrib — a first-party attribution cookie set when you arrive via a referral link. Stores only the referral source string (no personal data). Expires after 30 days.
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — set only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner at the bottom of this page. If you decline (or haven't been asked yet), GA cookies are never written. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the consent stored in your browser.
We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. The deletion path above covers deletion; for other requests, contact us.
Not financial advice
Everything in the app is educational analysis generated from public data and rules — not personalized investment, legal, or tax advice. Verify before acting.
